
As an arts educator, Elena has been on faculty at nationally recognized training programs, colleges, theatre academies, and dance studios across the country. These include The Boston Conservatory, Marymount Manhattan College, Wagner College, Walnut Hill School for the Arts, North Carolina Dance Masters, Dance Educators of America, Broadway Workshop, and Vanguard Theater Company. Elena was also selected as a Project Plie scholarship recipient, which allowed her to become certified by American Ballet Theatre in teaching Pre-Primary to Level 3. As an artist/activist, Elena believes that the arts create pathways for social justice. In the community, Elena currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Montclair Pride Choir and has been on the Entertainment Team for Rutherford’s Pridefest. Today, she is committed daily, working to close the opportunity gap in Newark, NJ by teaching Performing Arts with Uncommon Schools. Elena is a proud wife and mom who resides in the greater Montclair area.
